I love my Lammy too much to sell her. Still waiting on my new bits. I'm surprised you have had so many issues but I'm sure it will settle down nae bother. Besides its half the fun playing with the big boys meccano set.

Having said that, my GP150 top end Li has decided to give up on its hub bearing.
Suspicious creak emanating from the back hub when rolling around the garage.
Mind you it was 45 years old.

Up early this morning, put on some tunes opened the patio doors and got stuck in :) :):) the new kit is on, exhaust is on looks good. decided to change the oil while I was in and always had a nag about the fuel so I popped into Glasgow Lambretta on the way to work and picked up some 2 stroke and engine oil. New petrol in the morning and hopefully a wee run! 8-) fingers crossed then! ;);

Ok I'll get round to some pictures but driving home last night I realised that ...... That exhaust has got to go its driving ME nuts :o

so err I'm awaiting a package from the far east...

stainless expansion!

and while your at it you may as well order...

the panels, catches, badges and flashes...

and the stainless 3 in 1 back rack you were saving up for...

and those stainless floorboard kits you've been drooling over.

Its just the right thing to do isn't it? ??? ???

So youv'e got all that sorted what do you do next?

I was looking at the Augusto auto retard unit sounds like a nice bit of kit and at £60 certainly affordable.

Anyone used one? and with my engine setup (22mm phbl carb, 185 SR top end and a scootrs expansion pipe) which one should I be buying? the 6000 or 7000 rpm one (the 8000 is definately for a higher spec build.)

Did the club get a strobe light? I remember it being talked about at a meeting I was at earlier in the year. If we have can someone show me how to use it as it seems critical in setting these things up and I don't think it would hurt to do it even if I don't go down the retard route.

Do you fancy describing the technique then, bolts and string I have, not sure how that would work with the auto retard systems right enough.
